Patriarch Lubomyr Husar Ukrainian Catholic Seminary London
We form future priests for the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church in Great Britain through a disciplined and integrated programme of spiritual, intellectual, human, and pastoral formation.
Rooted in the Byzantine tradition and faithful to the teaching of the Catholic Church, the Seminary seeks to prepare men for a life of priestly service marked by prayer, sacrifice, and dedication to the People of God.
In a time of profound challenge for Ukraine and for the Church, the Seminary stands as a place of hope, forming priests who are ready to serve with faith, integrity, and compassion in the life of the Church today.
The establishment of the Patriarch Lubomyr Husar Ukrainian Catholic Seminary in London is a joyful and important moment in the life of our Eparchy. A house of priestly formation in the heart of the Eparchy responds to the real pastoral needs of our faithful and shows the continued vitality of vocations in the Ukrainian Greek‑Catholic Church.
Priestly formation is one of the Church’s greatest responsibilities. Through careful discernment and formation, we seek to prepare future priests who can serve the People of God with fidelity, wisdom and pastoral charity.
This Seminary exists to form candidates who are deeply rooted in the spiritual tradition of the Christian East, faithful to the teaching of the Catholic Church, and ready to serve our faithful in the complex cultural setting of contemporary Britain.
Entrusting this work to the intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God and to the example of Patriarch Lubomyr Husar, I gladly offer my blessing to all who will pray for, support and share in the life and mission of this Seminary.

Meet the Rector
"The journey to priesthood is a profound response to God’s call, and it is our mission to walk alongside those discerning this path, nurturing their faith and commitment to serve.
My prayer is that every man who comes to this seminary will learn to listen deeply to the voice of Christ, and be ready to give his life in loving service to God and His people.
It is a profound privilege to serve as the first Rector of our new seminary and to share in this sacred work of forming future priests."

Considering a Vocation?
Those who are discerning a vocation to the priesthood are warmly encouraged to make contact and begin a conversation about their calling.
Vocation is first and foremost a response to God’s invitation, and it is often discovered gradually through prayer, reflection, and guidance. The Seminary is here to accompany those who feel this call, offering support, clarity, and encouragement as they seek to understand God’s will for their lives.
